3rd Annual HPNG Latino Leaders Conference Invitation

Dear Colleague:

We invite you to be part of the upcoming 3rd Annual Latino Leadership Conference on June 12, 2012 in New York.

July 1, 2008, marked the premier of the HPNG Latino Leadership Conference in New York. The groundbreaking event demonstrated how leadership extends beyond the corporate world and how Latino leaders are transforming the Hispanic community.

The 2nd Annual HPNG Latino Leadership Conference focused on taking a look at how we are developing the pipeline of future Latino leaders. The event focused on the unique leadership needs and strengths of Latino leaders in corporate America.

As before, the 3rd Annual HPNG Latino Leadership Conference will address two separate audiences: those searching and developing talent and corporate professionals looking for best practices on how to develop and manage their careers in a new millennium.

Designed by, developed for and presented by Latinos, this event is an opportunity for Latino executives to help build an inclusive business leadership pipeline, and to develop Latino corporate leaders, one executive at a time. Latino leaders will showcase the leadership styles, methods along with strategies from multi-cultural recruitment professionals who will share their perspective, "from the inside‚" of what companies are doing to keep the Latino talent pipeline growing.

I look forward to seeing you there!

- Ali

SESSIONS INCLUDE:

PANEL OF EXPERTS: Realizing the Value of Effective Coaching

Coaching can be an extremely valuable and effective tool for individuals looking to focus on a particular career goal, but are unsure what steps to take to achieve it. Expert insider knowledge from coaches who have done it before can help Latino professionals leverage their abilities and develop new skills to get ahead. Coaching can aid and accelerate this development through identifying the necessary steps to reach your goals. This session will focus on both the short and long term value of effective coaching in the corporate world.

LATINO LEADERS ROUNDTABLE: A Personal Leadership Plan

Everyone's career is a journey filled with many obstacles, bends and unexpected roadblocks, and while we all have different goals, the steps we take to achieve these career objectives are similar across the board. Career paths are forged in many different ways and people take varying paths, but through collaboration, communication and hard work we can achieve success together. In this roundtable you will hear from four unique Latino leaders who will share their experiences, learned insight, and the motivation behind their success. This conference closing session will leave you inspired and give you valuable insight into how to rework your own personal leadership plan and professional development.

EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS PANEL: Develop Leadership Skills Together

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are no longer small, informal groups for people with common identities and interests. With increased focus and attention by corporations to the specific interests of Latinos, ERGs now provide resources for advanced leadership and growth opportunities. More than just focusing on career advancement, they help companies expand into new markets, exert influence, create meaningful messaging, and build opportunities for shared success. This panel will investigate the evolving role of ERGs and how they can facilitate professional development and networking, promote business growth and mentor the next generation through impactful support.
